A Police chase on I-75 northbound in Barrow County Georgia leads to two deaths and leaves another seriously injured. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the suspect vehicle was fleeing from authorities for unknown reasons before a “pit maneuver” (a tactic used by police whereby they tap the rear corner panel of a vehicle thereby forcing it spin out of control) was used to stop the vehicle. As a result of the car wreck, two occupants were ejected from the vehicle and the other was taken to the hospital for treatment. An investigation is still underway to determine the identities of those killed in the auto accident and to find out why the vehicle refused to pull over. The Georgia Department of Transportation has said it will be a number of hours before the lanes of travel re-open on this stretch of I-75.
