Peter Holliday Jr., 85, was tragically struck and killed in a pedestrian accident just before 3 p.m. at his Macon, Georgia residence earlier yesterday afternoon. Holliday, who lived on Forest Hill Road in Bibb County, was checking his mail when the accident occurred. It is believed the first vehicle swerved to miss Holliday but a second vehicle driven by 34-year-old Malaika Johnson of Macon, struck and killed him. Holliday was rushed to The Medical Center of Middle Georgia but subsequently expired as a result of his injuries. While no charges have been filed at this point, an investigation is underway and speed is expected to have played a factor in Holliday’s death.
