In a recent battery recall involving ThinkPad laptop computers, at least one person is said to have suffered injuries as a result of the batteries overheating. The fire hazard associated with these batteries, caused Sony and Lenovo to recall thousands of batteries which includes the part number FRU P/N 92P1131. At least one person thus far suffered minor eye irritation after catching fire during its use. Owners of batteries with them above referenced part number have been told to stop using the batteries immediately until they can be exchanged.
