A New Brunswick Superior Court jury recently awarded Allen Williams, a 31 year-old man, $3 million for his injuries related to his automobile accident in June of 2000. Williams suffered head and facial injuries including a nine inch scar on his forehead after being cut off by another motorist who drove away from the scene. State Farm, the insurance company responsible, argued no one ran Williams off the road and suggested he just lost control of the vehicle. The jury obviously did not buy that argument and held them accountable after their refusal to adequately handle the claim.
