The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on a tragic car accident that occurred this past Sunday.

Delisia Carter and her family (her husband, Robert, her 9 year old daughter, Kayla, and their new born son) went out for a Sunday drive close to their south Fulton home in Georgia. It was around 1:45 p.m. when Robert Carter’s Mercedes and a BMW collided on Camp Creek Pathway between Butner and Old Fairburn roads.

This car crash “started a chain reaction of accidents that ended with five people dead.” The Carters’ Mercedes spun out of control after hitting the BMW and ended up hitting a Volkswagen driven by Tracy Johnson, 43 years old from Atlanta.

After this tragic car accident, the Carters including their daughter and newborn son were killed. Johnson survived this car accident but her 6 year old daughter was killed from the impact.

The police are still searching for the BMW because as soon as the car accident occurred and before two other cars caught on fire, the BMW sped away.

“Police are still searching for the driver of a light-colored, possibly champagne, 1995-2001 BMW.”
Melissa Parker, Fulton County police spokeswoman said that the BMW “would most likely be leaking fluids and would have significant undercarriage and driver-side damage.”

This is certainly a tragedy. Hopefully the police will be able to find the driver of the BMW. Our thoughts are with both families.
