A fatal car wreck has lead to the death of three people and caused serious injures for two others after a van rear-ended a log truck in southeast Georgia today. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver of the state Department of Human Resources’ van slammed into the back of the log truck that was stopped at a 4-way intersection at Highway 252 and Indian Trail. Eyewitnesses noted the van appeared to out of control at the time of the impact but no investigative conclusions have been released at this point. The driver of the van, Corientha Moore of Blackshear, and two other passengers, Elizabeth Jones and Jimmy Harrin, both of Nahunta, all died in this tragic van accident. The others injured in this accident were taken to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center for their injuries and are expected to survive the ordeal.
