In a tragic accident on Georgia’s I-575 in Cobb County, four young people lost their lives after being involved in a one car accident on Saturday. The driver and the front seat passenger survived the accident but four other occupants were not so lucky. According to authorities, the driver reportedly lost control of her vehicle which subsequently flipped numerous times in the fatal auto accident. None of the back seat passengers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident according to the authorities. The group was reportedly returning home from an Atlanta Braves game earlier that night when the driver lost control of the Jeep Liberty for unknown reasons. Two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene while two others succumbed to their injuries in route to the hospital.
Although alcohol is not believed to have played a part in the accident, but the GSP in currently investigating the accident to determine if any criminal charges should be filed against the at fault driver.
