Yamaha Rhino Trial Jury Finds For Plaintiffs In Roll Over Incident

A Gwinnett County Georgia jury found in favor of the Plaintiffs, Roger and Glenda McTaggart, today after the defective Yamaha Rhino 660 he was riding in flipped over causing serious injuries to his leg. The Yamaha Rhino trial jury awarded $317,000 in damages to Mr. and Mrs. McTaggart for Roger’s injuries and suffering as a result of this tragic event. This is the first verdict in the Country for a Plaintiff in the Yamaha Rhino litigation (second case to go to a jury) which has hundreds of other cases pending throughout the United States.

The trial team of C. Andrew Childers, of Childers, Schlueter & Smith, LLC and Robert Blanchard and Kim Lambert of Levin Papantonio Thomas Mitchell Echsner & Proctor, P.A., (fellow InjuryBoard members) tried the case on behalf of the McTaggart family in Gwinnet County State Court. After 2 weeks of testimony by both the Plaintiff and the Defense, the jury’s verdict showed that the Yamaha Rhino was defective in its design.

As discussed in other topics about the Yamaha Rhino 660, there are still hundreds of other claims and lawsuits against Yamaha pending which exhibit similar defects and injuries to that of Mr. McTaggart and his family. Other Yamaha Rhino jury trials are slated to begin later this year in Georgia in furtherance of the Yamaha Rhino jury verdict.
