Workplace Truck Accident Leads To Death Of Hall County Man

While working to extend Cherokee County Airport runway, a Hall County man was killed and another was injured after a dump truck ran over the men on a work site. The fatal dump truck accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. today while the two men were reportedly taking soil samples at the top of a steep hill. The truck driver allegedly did not see the men as it topped the hill and subsequently struck them. OSHA officials were called to the scene and are conducting a through investigation. There has been no decision as to whether criminal charges will be filled in connection with the accident.
