In an update to a previous post concerning a hit and run diver that struck and a 17-year-old man, the police have identified the owner of the vehicle in the hit and run incident: Edgar Pena-Fernandez. Pena-Fernandez, of Lawrenceville, is wanted for questioning regarding his vehicle and its involvement in the incident. Although no charges are currently pending, maybe this investigation will lead to capture and prosecution of the responsible party. At that point, the family and loved one’s of the victims involved should consider bringing a civil suit against the perpetrator to help with the onerous financial burdens that arise when someone is killed in such a reckless and negligent manner. If for nothing else, it should be pursued in order to deter the at fault party from such conduct in the future.
