It seems like every time I pick up a newspaper or read an article online, it illustrates another vicious dog attack. Annie, Maiforth, an 86-year-old Cobb County resident is just the latest victim as two dogs, a German shepherd and Labrador retriever violently attached her earlier this week. The attack left Maiforth with sever injuries which include lacerations to her right arm and inner left thigh. At this point, it is still uncertain what made the dogs attack her as she was checking her mailbox. The owner of the dog is expected to be cited in connection with the attack later this week as they did not have the dogs restrained as required by law.

Typically claims like this, when pursued, compensation is sought through the at fault’s parties homeowners insurance or through their personal assets if any. Most home insurance polices are written to cover such unforeseen events such as the dog attack mentioned in this article.
