Two Deadly Georgia Car Accidents in One day

Comments Off

Access North Ga reported today that two people died in separate car accidents on North Georgia roads yesterday.

The first car crash occurred near Demorest. The car accident occurred on Hwy. 365, south of Double Bridge Road. A 74 year old John Rogers, Jr. of Bainbridge lost control of his car. This resulted in the death of his wife, Belva Jean Rogers, 71 years old, who was a passenger in the car.

The second car accident occurred in Franklin County on Hwy. 59. Ralph Newton Bellamy, 81 years old, was driving northbound and crossed into a southbound lane, striking a car head-on. A third car was involved in this car wreck. Ralph Newton Bellamy died in the collision. Anthony Sims, 35 years old, was taken to the Athens Regional Medical Center.

This was a terrible tragedy and our thoughts are with their friends and families. Please drive safely…avoid text messaging as this can cause serious accidents to occur when you take your eyes off the road.

A local Georgia news team reported on a major traffic accident on I-295 in West Atlanta yesterday. A MARTA bus collided with a tractor trailer rig. Apparently, the accident took place on the inner circle of the perimeter, north of I-20 near Donald Lee Holowell Parkway. This caused a major traffic block.

Fortunately, there were no passengers on the MARTA bus at the time and no one was injured.
